Speaking Topics

I can speak on the following topics for an audience of students, educators, administrators, parents, new entrepreneurs, or even all of the above!

Additionally, I’m always excited to engage in conversation with people in educational communities, both research, and practice. My research is currently focused on women in male-dominated STEM majors and the idea of risk-taking in the classroom.

Risk-taking in the classroom can certainly have some benefits for deeper learning, but I ask lots of questions about whether or not it makes sense to require risk-taking from students who have been historically excluded from STEM.

Are the benefits equally accessible? So when I’m doing research, I‘m always thinking about equity and that’s how I approach entrepreneurial education too!

Mindset Syllabus for Teachers

The Mindset Syllabus was created to help educators like you facilitate meaningful discussions and collaboration that ultimately shift girls’ mindsets around what’s possible. It’s a turn-key solution that can be implemented into your existing curriculum and integrated with your teaching style to enhance the content you’re already presenting.

We’ve designed this curriculum at the intersection of life skills, college preparation, and classroom integration. It’s been reviewed and refined through the lens of students, their ideas, and the teachers that are willing to step into the mentor roles to guide girls on their entrepreneurial journeys.

At Mindset & Milestones, entrepreneurship isn’t about owning and operating a business. It’s about expanding horizons, validating the problems girls see in the world and empowering them to discover new solutions, whether they want to be business owners or high-performing employees in career paths they love. Mindset & Milestones Workbook for Girls

Is there a girl in your life that needs some extra inspiration or already has tons of drive and needs something bigger to use it on? The Mindset & Milestones Workbook is just the thing!

Here you will learn how to think about problems and solutions, how to analyze the world around you, and how to use your uniqueness to your advantage. Your creativity, your grit, and your passion for the world around you will allow you to make a real impact on others. Entrepreneurs are problem solvers, but before they can be problem solvers they have to believe in their ability to contribute in a way that others have not.

In the workbook, we cover the basics of entrepreneurial strategies and thought processes. In working through the activities laid out in the pages to come, you will leave with the tools to think like an entrepreneur.

Being told “no” is not the end, trying something and not getting it right is not bad. Perfection is not success. Through this workbook, we hope you walk away with the ability to truly believe that.

You are powerful. You already hold the ability to do extraordinary things, but here you will call those abilities and passions of yours to action. That belief in yourself will be enough to get you to take risks, bet on yourself, and use every possible resource around you to reach your goals. And entrepreneur or not, that belief will carry you no matter where you go if you do the work.
